After the installation stops with the error, I have a shell on the still
running machine:
# fdisk -l
Disk /dev/sda: 146.6 GB, 146685296640 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 17833 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00090545
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
So I think inside the NFSroot sda is visible without problems.
