Martina Leeker ist Medien- und Theaterwissenschaftlerin, Theatermacherin und Performerin, Theaterpädagogin. Sie unternimmt zudem „Forschung mit Kunst“ für kritische Wissensproduktion und fragile Widerständigkeit. Von 2002 bis 2010 war sie Juniorprofessorin für „Theater und Medien“ an der Universität Bayreuth und von 2013 bis 2018 Senior-Researcher am „Centre for Digital Cultures“ (CDC) der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg; seither dort affiliiert.
