Schmidt &J. Cohen 2013, 12). Angesprochen ist damit nicht nur die soziotechnische pax electronica (P. N. Howard, 2015). Angesprochen ist die Neuverfassung des modernen Sozialklassikers: Das Subjekt wird in die Datenströme und Problemlösungs-Communities „umquartiert“, als Käufer von Problem Solving, Datenlieferant und kreativer Debugger eingefordert. Seine kognitive Kontinuität kann sich nicht mehr auf „feste Vorstellungen“ berufen, sondern richtet sich im „flow“ der echtzeitigen Nutzungs- und Lösungsbedingungen ein, die von Daten-Plattformen unausweichlich angeboten werden. Das moderne typografische mediale Selbst (M. Faßler 2005; 2014) wird von dem Konzept eines medientechnischen On-Line-Selbst beerbt. Infrastrukturen seiner Offline-Welt werden der Verarbeitungslogik digitaler Clusterwelt unterzogen – nicht vollständig, aber dominant. Diese neue Welt der globalen Computercluster konfiguriert (N. Elias; D. Simonton) Subjektvorstellungen, die sich ihrer selbst – medientechnisch und sozial – nicht mehr sicher sein können: den hypernervösen User-Menschen, der sich über Selfie bzw. als Selfie anwesend macht. So entsteht, im Gewand der Subjektivität und versprochener Daten-Kollektivität, ein globales User-Proletariat oder wegen mir auch ein Sampling von User-Middle-Classes. Manfred Faßler ist Professor für Soziologie/Anthropologie an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main und leitet dort das Forschungsnetzwerk Anthropologie des Medialen (FAMe).
