In Zeiten fortgeschrittener Digitalisierung und Globalisierung, des Informationsüberflusses und fehlender Großerzählungen scheinen Instanzen, die filtern, framen, ermöglichen, neu zusammenfügen und Wissen in neuen Konstellationen und Geschichten konzentrieren, immer wichtiger zu werden. Die Kontexte von Kunstproduktion und rezeption sowie Aufgaben und Einsatzgebiete von Kurator*innen haben sich vervielfältigt.
