Die Dreharbeiten fanden im April statt. Hier die Einladung des ‚Collegium Musicum’ der Uni Köln zu einem Konzert von Shondell Mims’ Bandprojekt ‚Glory Days’:<br><br>Flower Power! Female Power! Black Power!<br>Die sechziger Jahre - die Geburt von Soul, von Rhythm & Blues. Peace, drugs and music - Gitarristen als Anführer der Revolution, das Radio im Zentrum, Jimi Hendrix und Aretha Franklin als Propheten... <br>Es war nicht zuletzt die Soul-Musik, die Amerika für immer verändern sollte. Aufs Engste verbunden mit der schwarzen Bürgerrechtsbewegung war Soul der Sound der Revolution, des neuen Selbstbewusstseins der Jugend, die gegen Konformität und überkommene Autoritäten rebellierte, der Sound von Rassengleichheit und weiblicher Befreiung. Die Aufbruchstimmung, die im Marsch nach Washington gipfelte, war unterlegt von dieser Musik, Aretha Franklins R.E.S.P.E.C.T. eine Hymne.<br><br>Heute Kult, bringt Shondell Mims mit ihrer Band den Sound der Revolution auf die Bühne der Uni-Aula, voller Power und ganz ohne Nostalgie.<br><br>Im Anschluss zeigen wir mit <em><span style='font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>Shaft in Africa</span></em> einen Kult-Film des Blaxploitation-Kinos. Von Quentin Tarantino in zahlreichen seiner Filme zitiert, lebt Blaxploitation von Soul. Über die Zusammenhänge klärt Gereon Blaseio auf, der mit einer kurzweiligen Einführung dem Kultstatus des "schwarzen James Bond" huldigt. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><strong><span style='font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>Mi, 6.
